What a good day today down in Ballymaloe but tiring



So this morning I woke up and made myself my usual jug of coffee. I then made my way to the kitchen nice and early where I began to prepare my ingredients.

Today I made a lovely shepherd's pie and chocolate sponge cake. I have to say I preferred the shepherd's pie as I don’t really like sweet things.

After I was finished in the kitchen I started eating and ate very quickly, ran back to the college to get out of my chef whites, and had a quick shower. Then made my way to the demo where Rachel Allen was on again today. She made today for us foods I just adore, like Tacos with Lamb, Cabbage Sultana and fennel salad, Grilled Mackerel which was to die for!

After the demo, I was exhausted and I had a chore today, my chore was to clean up the lardier which took me an hour. At this stage, I was a fed up and tired as I woke up this morning at 5 am and only had 20 minutes break, but I am loving it here. I'm learning so many things and making so many friends. I’m looking forward to what’s to come in the next coming weeks until tomorrow.
